Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: The Indonesian government will cooperate with the World Bank to develop three tourist destinations.
The tourist destinations are Lake Toba in North sumatra, Borobudur Temple in Yogyakarta and Mandalika in West Nusa Tenggara.
“The loan will start from USD200 million,” said Tourism Minister Arief Yahya at the Vice Presidential Office in Jakarta on Friday (10/21).
Coordinating Minister for Martimme Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan explained the government will build supporting infrastructures around Lake Toba. They will be fully ready in the second quarter of 2019.
Meanwhile, the government will integrate Borobuder Temple with nearby attractions such as Prambanan Temple, Mendut Temple and Yogyakarta Palace.
Lastly, the government wants to develop Mandalika for Middle Eastern tourists. It wants to attract investments from Middle East region.
