TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati said she will continue to monitor the world market outlook in the wake of the election of Donald Trump as the President of the United States. She said that she will keep an eye on a couple of issues.

“First, economic views and policies on trade and investment of the United States,” Sri said Thursday at the Finance Ministry buildig in Jakarta. Sri said that the United States is the world’s largest economy. Its policies will affect its trade relations with other countries as well as investment.

Another issue is climate change. During his campaign, Trump did not name environmental issue as one of his agenda. Under his leadership, the US may stop the funding of climate change programs.

It will pose a threat to global climate change programs. Indonesia is one of the countries affected the most by climate change. Indonesia is also committed to develop the program.

Sri said that Indonesia will also monitor the US President’s relations with the Federal Reserve, which policy affects the rest of the world.
