TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – State-owned oil company PT Pertamina (Persero) has raised the prices of Pertamax and Pertamax Plus fuel ranging from Rp50 to Rp250 per liter, effective November 16, 2016.

Pertamina Vice President Corporate Communication Wianda Pusponegoro in a written statement Wednesday said that the company has set different prices in different regions of the country.

Pertamax fuel price increases by Rp100 per liter in North Sumatra and Bengkulu, Rp150 per liter in Yogyakarta, Central Java, East Java and Bali, and Rp250 per liter in Banten, Jakarta and West Java.

Whereas Pertamax Plus fuel price increases by Rp50 per liter in Yogyakarta, Central Java, East Java and Bali, and Rp150 per liter in Banten, Jakarta and West Java.

As such, Pertamax fuel price in Jakarta, West Java and Banten increases from Rp7,350 per liter to Rp7,600 per liter. Whereas Pertamax Plus fuel price in the same regions increases from Rp8,250 per liter to Rp8,400 per liter.

Pertamina has not increased new fuel products, namely Pertalite, Dexlite and Pertamax Turbo, citing high demand and increasing sales volume.

She said that Pertalite fuel average daily sales grew 611 percent in September compared to January 2016. Meanwihle Dexlite fuel average daily sales jumped from 47 KL in April to 625 KL in September.
