National Police Prepares 18,000 Personnel for Nov 4 Protest

Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: The National Police will deploy around 18,000 personnel to secure big demonstration in Jakarta on November 4.

They will protect important places such as Presidential Palace and Parliament Complex.

“We will protect those places. We will also monitor other places,” said National Police chief Gen. Tito Karnavian in Depok on Monday (10/31).

Several Islamic organizations will hold big demonstration in the capital. They will protest against Jakarta governor candidate Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok).

The police predicts around 30 thousand people will join the demonstration. They will come several regions.
