Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: President Joko Widodo and Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong conducted a retreat meeting in Semarang, Central Java, on Monday (11/4).

“It was an open and productive meeting,” said Jokowi after the retreat meeting, according to a press release from the Cabinet Secretariat.”We agreed to continue economic cooperation,” he continued.

The two leaders also inaugurated Kendal Industrial Park near Semarang. The industrial estate is a joint venture between Indonesian and Singaporean companies.

“This cooperation will be a new icon,” he stated.

Investment realization from Singapore reached USD7.1 billion in January-September 2016. It increased by 44 percent compared to the same period last year.
